Unfortunately, Doctor Rui Pedrosa wasn’t in Hospital dos Capuchos today, but Doctor Armando Sena was.

As my MRI of March (the 3rd i made since January) shows signs of new “damage” in my spine, the Doctor considered it to be a “2nd attack”, so right now, there are no doubts it’s MS, and there is evidence of propagation in a short period of time.

Not confirmed by them yet, BUT i know my MS type is… Progressive.
Still no info on if it’s Primary Progressive, Secondary Progressive or Progressive Relapsing.
Or, at least, not given to me.

This is the news i didn’t want to hear, but being a negativist, i had already considered it.
If confirmed, the dreadful diagnosis will apply to me: “getting worse at fast speed, lifespan greatly reduced”.

Regarding my still-numb right hand, i told the Doctor bluntly: “please fix this by any means necessary, i need my damn hand”.
So he did. I’m again doing a Methylprednisolone treatment of 5 days, which started immediately. Once again, the Avatar pic i am using applied perfectly.

This time, it was a shared room, with 5 people inside, all taking IVs. I am not used to socializing, but it was bearable. Everyone inside was nice and friendly (a brazilian lady was taking THREE IVs and was a bit too chatty, but her son was nice enough to offer himself to cut my meat at lunch, as i only had my left hand available, so, as a whole, the family gets a plus on my book), and i had a chance to propagate my ill-caustic-black-masochist humour to everyone (you’d think it would be impossible to make a remark about vampirism in an environment like that, but hey, i did it).

Maybe as a punishment for that, in the end of the (first of five) treatment, the nurse removed my catheter by mistake. So i just got an instant depilation of my right arm, which wasn’t supposed to happen today, and tomorrow i’ll need to have a new one implanted.

Mental note: tomorrow, i’ll STFU for the 3 hours the treatment lasts.

Regarding the Interferon, Doctor Sena said we will discuss that next Wednesday, together with Doctor Pedrosa.
Total time used: 10am to 4pm.
