Quorthon formed Bathory in 1983 when he was 17 years old.
Quorthon was found dead in his apartment on June 2004, apparently from heart failure.
A true Northern Son, Quorthon had more “vikingness” in his pinky fingers than most “Viking wannabes” i know, and has always been a reference in Viking Metal (hell, he CREATED the genre) and in Black Metal.
Rest in Peace, Quorthon. You shall be missed.
