A very tough day.

After being surprised with the fact we were expected to carry all the servers ourselves, we started the disassembly of the “old” office.

One of the racks was closed on the backside, and as JD immediately excused himself by saying he had no knowledge of it and was not the last one to touch it (to be expected), me and Mbd had to brute-force it open (aka: used the “Wonder Bar” ML gave us).

Most of the things were disassembled.

We couldn’t carry the 3000VA UPS. It’s a 55.91KG beast and not very ergonomic, not at all easy to grab and carry. We also couldn’t unscrew some stuff, as we had a limited amount of tools at our disposal.

Then, as we were carrying the 4U + 1U + 1U + 2U to the car, i started feeling pain.

Lumbar pain, pain on the legs, and quickly, i had pain everywhere.

I immediately knew it was not going away quickly, so i had to lower down the rhythm. Mbd and ML were top notch, saw i was all screwed up, and let me have some slack on the carrying.

We were too tired to assemble anything on the new office, so we left the servers on top of the tables, and we’ll start at around 7:30 am tomorrow.

The day did have a very good reward, though: a superb dinner, with a blue-cooked steak, a couple of beers and a cheesecake as desert. And a 120€ dinner bill.
