I came across an article called “CNS Drug Discoveries: Multiple Sclerosis Chapter”.
As it turned out, it was not an article, but some 128 page book, that costs 895€.
My thoughts: “it must be good. I’ll see what it’s about.”
I only read the first paragraph of the description:
“With the launch of up to 12 new disease-modifying agents, three vaccines and one novel drug designed to treat the symptoms of multiple sclerosis (MS) and improve quality of life, the MS market is in an exciting phase of evolution.”
I’m sorry.. WHAT? “the MS market is exciting“? They could have said “.. which is exciting news for the patients waiting for a cure”. But NO, the MARKET is exciting.
Ok, so this 900€ crap is about the excitement of US$8 billion changing hands due to the sick fucks like me with MS.
I didn’t read anything else.
*clickety click* where is the contact email? *clickety click*
Wait, send an email? no no, I’m pissed. This has to be much harsher than just ONE email.
But i did a draft anyway:
“the MS market is in an exciting phase of evolution.” Exciting? For whom? The ones making money out of it, the ones trying to get a cut, or for the guinea pigs like me? That word is INSULTING.
The MS market is not “exciting”. It is sad.
You make it look like someone’s adrenaline is pumping out of other people’s disease.
€895? With this as a description, this is not even worth 8.95. I’m offended. I might be sick, but at least i’m not a sick bastard like you.
If i ever come across someone from your family bleeding near a gutter, i’ll make sure to check if the gutter is OPEN and go my way.”
